(RTTNews) - Switzerland's economic barometer fell in August, indicating a possible marked slowdown in economic activity over the months ahead, the KOF Swiss Economic Institute showed Friday.
The indicator fell by 0.37 points to 1.61 points in August. There has not been such a sharp fall for more than two years. The index stayed below the expected reading of 1.85 points.
The reading for July was revised to 1.98 from 2.04 points.
