(RTTNews) - Denmark's unemployment rate remained unchanged for the second straight month in July, data released by Statistics Denmark showed Thursday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stabilized at 6.1 percent in July, matching the figure for June and May. In July 2010, the rate was 6.4 percent. The jobless rate among youth, aged between 16 and 24, edged up to 5.5 percent from 5.4 percent in the previous month.
Meanwhile, the number of jobless persons in the country increased by to about 163,000 during the month from around 162,000 in the previous month.
The agency said the recently completed annual update of the register-based workforce resulted in the labor force dropping notably by 84,000 in the latest period.
