(RTTNews) - European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said on Tuesday that Europe will emerge stronger from the crisis as the European Union governments are doing their best in tackling the underlying budget problems.
"The EU and the Euro are strong and resilient, and we are doing all it takes, from tackling the underlying budget problems to strengthening the governance of the Euro-zone, from tighter financial regulation to improving our overall competitiveness," he said during his visit to Australia.
Reports said quoting Barroso that the EU is committed to its planned fiscal consolidation and structural reform measures. He told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that the Euro will survive the crisis.
