German Oct. Producer Price Inflation Slows

German producer price inflation slowed in October as expected by economists, data from the Federal Statistical Office showed Friday.
Producer prices were up 5.3 percent year-on-year, down from the 5.5 percent increase in September. Excluding energy, producer prices were higher by 2.8 percent than in October 2010.
On a monthly basis, producer prices moved up 0.2 percent, following a 0.3 percent in the prior month. Economists were expecting producer prices to rise 0.1 percent.
