Not Certain If G7 Will Meet By Year-End: Japan's Azumi

Japanese Finance Minister Jun Azumi said on Friday that there has been no decision yet if the finance ministers of the Group of Seven industrialized nations will meet by the end of this year to contain the financial turmoil in the euro area.
He acknowledged that "there is a talk" about holding a G7 meeting, though this is not confirmed.
He also noted that Japan is carefully watching the surge in Spanish government bond yields. On Thursday's auction of Spain's 10-year bonds, the country's borrowing cost surged to a record high near 7 percent, a level widely seen as unsustainable.
