Gold Recovers In Asian Session

The price of gold moved up to a weekly high in Asian trading Tuesday after euro zone finance ministers gave a green signal to a second rescue package for Greece.

Gold for April delivery, the most actively traded contract, gained $18.60 to $1,744.50 an ounce. Last week, gold ended flat on some upbeat U.S. economic data amid lingering concerns over Greece's sovereign debt crisis.

Holdings of SPDR Gold Trust, the world's largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, were unchanged at 1,281.28 tons.
