Gold for April delivery, the most actively traded contract, edged up $1.70 to $1,790.10 an ounce. Yesterday, gold gained nearly 1 percent to settle at a three-month high as the dollar declined after some mixed U.S. economic data.
Holdings of SPDR Gold Trust, the world's largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, were unchanged at 1,284.61 tons.
