Taiwan's export orders decreased at a markedly faster pace than economists expected in January, data released by the Ministry of Economic Affairs showed Monday.
Export orders declined 8.63 percent on an annual basis in January, sharply faster than the 5.9 percent decreased economists forecast. In December, export orders decreased 0.72 percent annually.
Month-on-month, export orders fell by a seasonally adjusted 13.28 percent during the month, the agency said.
